I love when couples include their pets into their engagements, so I was overjoyed when Darsha and James floated the idea of bringing their sweet dog with them to the shoot. We started in Topanga State Park where there were some very exciting squirrel encounters and ended with some frisbee at the beach. James and Darsha are just the sweetest and I loved how important it was to them that their engagement photos reflect who they are as a couple. I'm so behind on posting all of my work currently that...if you can believe it...their wedding is less than a month away! I'm so much looking forward to working with them again!
I was really excited to work with Maggie and Hnedel because, when I spoke to them about what they were thinking about in terms of where they wanted to do their engagement session, Maggie suggested some super amazing locations and she suggested they bring their dog, Sriracha...who, I have to say, is probably one of the cutest and loveliest dogs I've ever met (plus, you can probably tell by now that I absolutely love when people include their animals in their love stories!). Maggie and Hnedel are one of those cool, interesting couples, that always give me couple crush and it gave me such pleasure to spend a day with them and their sweetheart pup. Totally can't wait to shoot their wedding this fall!
It was so hard for me to choose photos for this blog post, you guys. This engagement session with Amy and Clark ranks among my favorite shoots ever and I just loved every shot we had from this session. They're just the coolest couple; one of those couples that just make me feel like the luckiest girl in the world to have the chance to work with such amazing people. Amy and Clark live in San Francisco, so Phi and I drove up there for the weekend to shoot their engagement in Golden Gate Park. I'd never shot in San Francisco before, and I have to say...I'm in love. The park is gorgeous with it's big, tall trees and and the weather that day was perfect, not too sunny and not too gloomy. We rented a boat on Stow Lake and paddled around just as the sun was sinking a bit in the sky and then headed to the beach for some final sunset photos. Seriously, it was such an epic day and I am beyond excited to get a chance to hang with Amy and Clark again when we shoot their wedding in August. So much love guys!!
